NYMHY is a flexible multi-core cable commonly used for light-duty electrical applications where movement or flexibility is required. Compared to NYM, this cable is designed with a softer outer sheath and stranded conductors, making it ideal for temporary connections and portable equipment.
Suitable for:
- Household appliances
- Extension cables
- Light-duty power connections
- Indoor portable equipment
Not recommended for:
- Fixed installations inside walls (use NYM instead)
- Outdoor or underground use (use NYY instead)
- Heavy load applications
